Provided extensive media support and editorial services, both self and staffed, for well-known music videos for MTV and assorted production companies/musicians. Conducted extensive lip-sync services to support or fix other music videos as needed.
Edited an award winning opening for late night cable show that supported talent’s well-known hijinks. Received immediate approval of first editorial cut.
Developed extensive budgets for numerous editorial projects ranging from MOWs, commercials, music videos, prime time TV and cinema. Handled postproduction, talent and staff negotiations as well as management oversight to keep projects on time and budget for $10MM+ worth of projects.
Provided post supervision for film that shot over 300 hours of 16mm film and coordinated all aspects of scene ingest and availability during creative post for TV mini-series. Efficiently manage all transfers and storage swaps as needed during a very complex and chaotic production schedule.
Analyzed director’s proclivities and recommended analog media capture over digital for movie teleplay. Oversaw all aspects of preproduction and postproduction to support director’s requirements. Managed all equipment and completed final conform
Devised and created technical workflow process for multi-year children’s series for broadcast network. Handled all technical and digital requirements and managed media throughout the entire production. Designed EDL/clean process, which was later codified in software for future deployment.
Daytime EMMY nominated director of “B. Smith with Style.” This home show featured film, stage and television celebrities. Guests included Judge Judy, D. L. Hughley, Emeril Lagasse, Maya Angelou, Billy Joel, Suzanne Somers, Chubby Checker, Steve Allen, Olympia Dukakis, Aretha Franklin, Danny Glover, Naomi Judd, Gladys Knight, Susan Lucci, Dr. Ruth, Morgan Fairchild, Diahann Carroll, Judy Collins, Kate Spade, Yolanda Adams, Cynthia Rowley, Billy Dee Williams and others.
Produced and oversaw extensive productions, both film and photography, the latter for high-end fashion & beauty. Managed staff, schedules and follow-on coordination with postproduction/publishing facilities.
Managed TV productions for ‘day of’ broadcast of A-list musicians, including Green Day, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Beyonce and others, as well as top sports events such as EPIX Boxing, NY Knicks and NY Rangers. Responsible for a large team of live broadcast studio professionals.
Directed commercials, pilots and show segments for a variety of clients such as MTV, HSN and The National Review on behalf of luminaries like Isaac Hayes, Charlton Heston and William Buckley.
